The good, the bad, the ugly

THAT SIMPLE? For constituents in this district, there are two sides of the same ruling political family. One side is composed of the “good” politicians, and the constituents call them “gwapo” and “gwapa”. On the other side, still having the same family name, are the not-so-good politicians and are often called “mga bati’g nawong”.

“Dali ra mailhan kinsa ang mga buotan,” one constituent said, “basta gwapo o gwapa, buotan na. Basta bati’g nawong, mao na mga kurakot.”
