Want subways? Fix floods first

UNDERGROUND POOL. After experiencing the subway systems of Hong Kong and Singapore, many people are clamoring for the same thing to be built here. Some stations are so huge they go down four stories and service dozens of trains.

However, a traffic enforcer who faces daily traffic all year round, is scoffing at such a proposal for now. First we have to address the flood problem, he said, all those subways will amount to nothing if all the floodwaters go there during the rainy season.
