THE EAR - The Freeman

NO HOLIDAY. Unlike the past celebrations, All-Saints day this year has been observed to be the busiest in all the cemeteries, said an Ear informer. He said that by October 31, many people flocked the cemeteries to visit their loved ones.  "Kay Sabado man ang Halloween, unya Domingo ang All-Saints day, nagpunsisok ang mga tawo aning mga adlawa kay wa man gi-declare nga holiday ang Lunes, November 2."

HALAD SELFIE. The same Ear informer suggested that the old customs of putting food and other stuff like tobacco and beverages in front of the tombs is still prevalent. And these food and stuff as "halad" (offer) to the departed relatives were even made to the cellphones of the young relatives who were doing selfie. "Tan-awon nimo ang mga litrato sa sementeryo naa sa Facebook, murag karenderia sa kadaghan sa pagkaon atubangan sa mga nitso."
