It says here that "Grace Poe has set her mind on the presidency." Someone was heard saying: "Blame the surveys."

Another someone, identified as a Mar Roxas fan, was also heard saying: "If one is leading by a mile in the surveys is that an assurance that he or she will make the best president?"

Cicero, the Roman philosopher, once said and I quote (only for my personal consumption): "When you are aspiring to the highest place, it is honorable to reach the second or even the third rank."

In Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, some women protesters went topless in public. Conservatives who thumbed down the demo were told by the protesters: "They're just boobs. Come, Bare with us."

I've just realized that God doesn't play favorites among His creation. He gives not just Pinoys supertyphoons, floods, earthquakes, of late, Pakistan, Myanmar, India, Vietnam, Nepal, Solomons, etc. got their share of the calamities.

I heard a showbiz personality report that she attended an atheist convention in Italy. She said on tv that hundreds attended. Informed that the confab hall where she attended the conclave was bombed, she exclaimed: "Oh, my God:"

A veteran political analyst I talked with on the phone last night was asked what he thought of Grace Poe’s insistence in running for president, said: "I never thought Grace was a gambler."

"Grace Poe's insistence in running for president despite advices that she first seek the vice presidency is a gamble," my phone guest said. "A defeat will mean a tough climb back to being No. 1 contender again. Of course a win will mean riding high in the clouds."

That's his take, not mine. I listened to him all night long aware of his credentials as political analyst.
