In the land of the free
It says here that insane people in the free world outnumber the psychos in the free world. Maybe because in the land of the free everyone is free to make a fool of himself. Joke lang.

I heard a radio "talker" (the term used by a Manila columnist for disc jockey) say that "more people disagreed with PNoy's SONA. Oh, well, you gotta understand that. In the land of the free it is always fashionable to disagree, even bash, the President.

The Palace, says this news here, "sees OK of the anti-dynasty bill." Some observers say OK is okay. But KO is also possible.

I was amused by Davao Mayor Digong Duterte's reply to some people's insistence that he run for President. He was quoted as saying: "Hay, Ginoo, tiguwang na ko." To which some fans reply: "Old carabaos eat young grass."

Sen. Grace Poe says PNoy wants her to be running mate of Secretary Mar Roxas. It's clearer now. The reason why it's taking too long for PNoy to endorse Mar is because it's taking also too long for Grace Poe to say yes or no.

Knowledgeable political observers are trying to guess: If Grace Poe would continue to play hard to get, chances are PNoy might let Rep. Leni Robredo run instead. Leni is the widow of the late DILG Secretary Robredo, one of PNoy's favorite Cabinet members.

Mayor Tom O has put up a farmers market at the SRP to help the farmers in the city's mountain barangays market their produce. Not to be outdone, Mayor Mike Rama is putting up (actually re-establishing) his Plaza Sugbu farmers mart.

After PNoy has delivered his SONA some activist solons took to the floor waving and brandishing placards denouncing, what else but PNoy and his SONA. Many observers, some of them guests, were shocked not at what they saw on the floor but at the behavior of the lawmakers. But that was nothing compared to raucous inside the legislative hall of Tokyo or Taipei when lawmakers fight. They threw away chairs and overturned tables.
