Tourist attraction

THE EAR - The Freeman

ATTRACTION. A Japanese deep sea diver living in Davao told an Ear informer that the Musashi, one of the biggest Japanese battleships in history that sank in Philippine waters during World War II could be a "premier" tourist attraction for international divers. He said the Musashi was the "talk of the town" in Japan but nobody knew where it was after it sank.

FOUND. The Musashi, one of the biggest battleships in WWII, was discovered to have sank in Philippine waters only recently and a story about its finding was carried in a recent issue of The Freeman. "Given wide media publicity, the Musashi could be a prized tourism attraction for the Phl," the Davao-based Japanese diver said to our Ear informer during lunch in a local restaurant.
