LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Tomas explains tiff with Nalzaro

Columnist Nalzaro, who I sued for libel has sought the inhibition of the 3 fiscals alleging they are biased.

One fiscal, a del Prado, has already inhibited himself admitting he is a relative. I don’t know him.

Anyway, since when is a suspect allowed to influence the selection of his prosecutor? Even jailed senators like Enrile don’t have the face to try it. Not even Erap in his impeachment. Same with GMA, the ex president. Or VP Binay. Only Super Bob is desperate enough to try it.

Why is Nalzaro so talawan? He is like Floyd Mayweather who calls himself a champ but chooses his opponents. Nalzaro said in print that has 50 lawyers preparing his defense. So why is he so scared of 3 prosecutors.

Remember that it is the judge who will decide on Nalzaro’s guilt, not the prosecutors. The job of the prosecutor is to prosecute... and to prosecute aggressively and not with kid’s gloves. Maybe Nalzaro wants prosecutors who are meek just like sheep.

Don’t you agree that this court case is a good opportunity for Nalzaro to show the people that he did not commit libel? Instead he is ducking the issue by disqualifying the prosecutors. If I were to borrow Nalzaro’s twisted logic, I could also seek to disqualify his lawyers. JP Garcia and associates. After all the Garcias are probably biased against me. But I am not like Nalzaro. I am not a wimp. I will invite all 50 lawyers who Nalzaro recruited to ask them which case I fabricated against Treas. Diwa. Abangan!

I would like to seek the public’s understanding. Nalzaro has attacked me consistently since I entered public office in the late 80’s. I have decided to defend myself - for a change! Is it OK with you if I punch back just this one?
