Risky flight

PILOTS. Two veteran and retired commercial airline pilots were all praise for the pilots who brought Pope Francis to Tacloban and back to Villamor  Air Base amid a stormy weather. An Ear informer said they told friends during a wedding reception in an uptown hotel (Cebu) that "it was a risky thing they did but they showed courage and skill to fly a plane in that kind of weather."

EMERGENCY. They said even in cases of emergency they were not allowed to fly during a storm "in our time." By "in our time" they meant some 20 years ago when airline aircraft were not yet as well equipped against bad weather as they are today.
