Happy, happy God-blessed 2015 to you all!
Today, these prayers and messages for this New Year!
"May the Lord bless you and take care of you; may the Lord be kind and gracious to you; may the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace." (From Numbers 6-22-26)
"When the right time finally came, God sent His own Son…so that we might become God's sons… And since we are His sons, God will give us all that He has for His sons." (Galatians 4:4, 5 and 7).
As Your child, dear Father, "let our eyes be opened "(Matthew 20:33) and open our eyes all throughout this year to Your gifts in the every day." (Elizabeth Sherill in Everyday Blessings).
Let Your eyes, O Lord, continually be on us from the beginning of this year to its end, to more new years thereafter.
Just as You led and guided us through the past, come, dear God, and see us through again this year, according to Your will for us, accompanied by Your love and grace.
With faith and hope, let us always remember that whatever we do, wherever we will be, Your Hand will always be there to lead us. "May we follow You and never fear, for You are our Shepherd and we shall not want. (Scott Walker in Everyday Blessings).
2015 will be another good and blessed New Year so "dear believer, be strong and take heart (Psalm 27:14), and with thanksgiving and confidence, lift your voice in praise, for the Lord who 'thus far' has helped you, will help you all your journey through."
Let us continue, then, to " delight in the Lord, to seek our happiness in the Lord, and He will give us the desire of our heart. Let us give ourselves to the Lord; trust in Him and He will help us." ( Psalm 37:4-5).
Lord, at the dawn of a new year, while we welcome the new year "as a breath of fresh air bringing new and exciting opportunities "into our lives ( Lynda Field), when we fear, let us trust in Thee ( Psalm 56:3).
Let us remember that You think of us every day ( Psalm 68:19), that every hour, You look after us (2 Thessalonians 3:3), that every minute, You care for us ( 1 Peter 5:7) because every second, You love us! (Jeremiah 31:3).
Allow us then, as we welcome 2015, to "stand ready to witness the great marvel You, Lord will accomplish before our eyes. (1 Samuel 12:16)
We release and bid goodbye to 2014 with gratitude, dear God, because You were always with us then and because we believe You will again be with us always through this New Year.
We pray especially for those who are struggling to let go of the past, whose deprivation, hurt, pain, sickness, and grief spill over to the New Year. May Your grace, peace, and comfort soothe their hearts and allow them to move on, to move forward, and for them and us to remember never ever to forget Jeremiah 29:11 that "You know the plans You have for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future."
Lead us, Lord, to move on, a day, a step at a time, sharing Your love where there is hatred, Your pardon where there is injury, true faith in You where there is doubt, Your hope where there is despair, Your light amidst darkness.
Grant us Your grace, dear Father, to console , to understand, to pardon, to love, to share and to give of ourselves just as You gave Your Son to us.
Thank you again, Lord, for another new year filled with Your love and grace, Your presence, Your peace, Your providence, and Your protection for us all!
"Thank You, Lord, for the New Year. Help us to praise You and glorify You each day" (Didache, 2015).
Amen!
