Quake victims

Bohol quake. The first anniversary of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that rocked Bohol was marked by Boholanos and friends last Wednesday  (October 15). Did you know that many of the quake victims were not anymore in Bohol on that day?

abroad. An  EAR informer learned from realible sources that many of the victims are now abroad, mostly in the Middle East as OFWs. “Maynalang naninguha sila makatrabaho abroad,” said a Bol-anon trader. :Tan-awa kanang naghuwat ra sa tabang sa gobyerno, hangtod karon sa tent gihapon namuyo.”

Job fairs. Most of those now abroad took advantage of their “ evacuation stay” in Cebu by trying their luck in the job fairs held here, our informer said.
