What is the CBCP’s stand on vaccines?
We thank SKAL International for bestowing upon this writer the Provincial Print Media Personality Award for 2014 in recognition of the articles we wrote in The Freeman (Cebu) on tourism related issues, which was held last week at the New World Hotel given by SKAL president Robert “Bobby” Joseph Jr., Deedee Ledonio, secretary and Farid Schoucair New World general manager.
Tourism continues to be the bright star in the Philippines, which is why today, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is so congested, despite the fact that the NAIA Terminal 1 earned the moniker as the worst airport in the world. If we didn’t have any tourism to speak of, no one would know that we have the worst airport in the world. So in a way, our writing about these tourism related issues should send alert signals to the Aquino regime to fix whatever is wrong with our airports.
Still on the issue of Tourism, did you know that the City of Vigan is asking for your vote in the hope that they would bag the enviable title of one of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World? They are the only city to represent the Philippines. You can help promote Vigan by texting to this number, 29290777. Indeed Vigan is the only city in the Philippines where literally time stood still! I was amazed to see Vigan for the first time in 1975 when we attended a motocross race there…and we always stopped in Vigan to enjoy the whole city.
Still on Vigan, Msgr. Vicente Avila (he is a faithful and avid reader of our columns, but no relation to me), parish priest of St. Paul’s Metropolitan Cathedral texted me that he was criticized by the local Department of Health (DoH) and the local radio stations last Sept. 8 for asking the right questions about the safety of the vaccines that the DOH was distributing for free in Vigan. Why should it be wrong for Msgr. Avila to ask the right questions as to where those vaccines come from and what could be its side effects?
A couple of years ago, we learned that in a forum in Bangkok, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gave millions of dollars in funds for vaccines that could make children infertile and have them distributed to 3rd world countries. Come now, isn’t the Philippines a third world country?
So Msgr. Avila’s asking his parishioners whether they want grandchildren or not is a very important question for parents to ask. In short, Msgr. Avila is merely echoing our fears that those pills could very well have come from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and may have arrived in Philippine shores because their aim is to reduce the world’s population!
It is a fact that the Aquino Regime has embarked on a population reduction program by their approval of the Reproductive Health (RH) Law. So when the DoH implements its vaccination program, parents have the right to know where did the DOH secured those vaccines and what are they for?
I already warned my daughter about this because we just got a lot of material that the efforts by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) might have been used to help reduce the world’s population by making those children infertile. Msgr. Avila should be lauded for spreading this to his parishioners when DOH wasn’t telling them anything. Those radio commentators ought to be questioning the DOH instead of attacking Msgr. Avila!
I texted my good friend, Dr. Rene Bullecer of Human Life International on what he thought of this issue. He emailed me this message. “For us citizens, we are not against the vaccinations per se, however, we have to insist that there must be “informed choice and “informed consent” especially to the parents of the children. I believe we have all the right to know what are the ingredients of the vaccines and what are the possible side effects and adverse reactions to the vaccines?”
Dr. Bullecer then reminded me of two instances when vaccines caused a serious controversy. The first case was in 1995 when the Catholic Women’s League of the Philippines (CWL) won a court order stopping a UNICEF anti-tetanus program because the vaccine had been laced with B-hCG. The Supreme Court found the surreptitious sterilization program had already vaccinated three million women ages from 12 to 45.
The other case also involved a UNICEF campaign to vaccinate Nigeria’s youth against polio. Upon analysis of the vaccine, Dr. Haruna Kaita a pharmaceutical scientist found that the vaccines contained toxic ingredients that had harmful effects on the human reproductive organ. Actually there are many other cases… but we can’t print all of them in one column.
At this point, I would like to engage the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to issue their warnings on those vaccines. They ought to now that while the Aquino Regime may have won the battle for the RH Bill, this war is far from over and shall continue fighting this evil that seeks to kill infants even before they are born.
