Ninoy P500 bills

NINOY FAN. A Ninoy Aquino fan, a businessman, celebrated Ninoy's death anniversary last Aug. 25 by handing out P500 bills with Ninoy's picture to his grandchildren and nephews/nieces. He has been doing this, as a personal tradition, for the past five years.

FRIENDS. An Ear informer said Ninoy Aquino and the businessman were good friends. They worked together in the old Manila Times. The businessman has 14 grandchildren some of whom are Ninoy's godchildren.

WHY PESO BILLS? Asked by The Ear informer why he gives away "Ninoy 500-peso bills" to his grandchildren and nephews/nieces on Ninoy's death anniversary, the businessman said: "Because it's my way of remembering a departed good friend."
