Old trees
OLD TREES. They have started cutting down old trees following the falling down of some of these ancient trees in which some people have been killed and some houses destroyed. A Cebuano botanist who had worked as "tree doctor" in Singapore said "Kaanugon...sayang."
CARE. He said those ancient trees could have been saved and allowed to live for some more years had they been given proper care from the time they were first planted. "Didtos Singapore duna sila'y gitawag sa mga tawo nga 'tree doctors' kang kansang obligasyon mao ang pagtsek-ap sa kondisyon sa mga punong kahoy nga gi-assign kanila."
SURVIVAL. He said Singapore has many very old trees. Some were planted during colonial times "and they have survived the ravages of time because they were given proper care."
