Gay brigade

BRIGADE. A group of men calling themselves "certified gays" have formed the community Workers Brigade which help declog canals, manholes and esteros during flash floods in Manila particularly in Sampaloc district where most members live.

ORGANIZER. The organizer of the Community Workers Brigade, according to an Ear informer, is a Cebuano who has long been a resident of Sampaloc where he owns a unisex beauty shop. The Brigade has been awarded by a civic club for its community endeavors, our informer said.
