Mark of Pinays

OBSERVATION. Some American backpack travelers attending an acquaintance dinner sponsored by a women's club were asked about their observation of Filipino women they met. Two of the travelers said they had observed that when Pinays laugh they cover their mouths with their hands.

BEAUTY. Two other backpackers said they had observed most Pinays are “beauty conscious.” They said most of the women introduced to them wore lipstick and had their fingernails and toenails manicured. “This is even true among the women vendors they met at public wet markets,” they said.
