May 11 is Mother's Day. A florist I know said: "It's sad that more young people buy flowers for their sweethearts on Valentine's Day than for mama on Mother's Day."

When I see ads in the papers showing women with clean hairless armpits, I am reminded of Italian screen siren Silvana Mangano leading star of the movie "Bitter Rice." She was hailed as the sexiest movie actress of her time in Italy because her armpits were full of hair.
