A Lenten incident

LENT. When the Lenten Season comes around, the people living along Leon Kilat Street cannot help recalling to mind a Good Friday incident that made them laugh. While someone carrying a cross and allowed children to beat him in commemoration of Jesus's passion, a man who came from nowhere joined the children in beating up the man carrying the cross.

FIGHT. The man playing Jesus Christ dropped his bamboo cross and chased the man who joined the kids in beating him. A fistfight erupted and the "imitation of Christ's passion procession" was broken up. As usual cooler heads prevailed.
