ISLANDS. A 75-year-old retired medical doctor who spends most of his time reading newspapers says in Cebuano: "Kadaghanan sa mga travel articles nga akong mabasahan sa atong mga mantalaan kabahin sa mga dapit sa Amerika, Uropa, ug ubang dapit sa Asia." He said, "we are promoting tourism in other countries." He added: "We have 7,100 islands but many of these haven't seen print."

PROMOTION. This retired doctor says he has yet to read about "untouched" places in the Philippines like Tablas, Romblon, Semirara, Siete Pecados, Isla de Gigante, etc. "Maybe because these are not in the promotion list of the airlines, hotels, etc.," he said. Incidentally, this doctor has written articles about Phl places "less travelled" in foreign publications.
