Yearend inventory
Very soon, we'll be saying goodbye to 2013. But before we say so, let's pause and ponder on the year 2013. Let us try to look back and make an inventory of the things, people, places, and events in our lives the past 365 days of the year 2013. Let us make a real honest-to-goodness self-examination and evaluation of ourselves, that we may continue doing the good things and refrain from doing the undesirables, that we may become better persons that God has always wanted us to be. Here goes:
- How did I start the year 2013? How did I celebrate it?
- What were the things that I've said or done which made people happy?
- Who were the people that I've hurt through my words and actions?
- Who were the people that I've quarreled or have misunderstanding with?
- What were my achievements?
- Which of my plans did or did not materialize?
- What were the occasions where I shared special moments with my family?
- How many trips outside Cebu have I made? Where to? What for?
- How many Sunday masses have I missed and for what reasons?
- What were the trials that came into my life? How did I deal with them?
- How many times did I get sick and from what ailment?
- What were the pleasant surprises that came into my life?
- What shocking news that affected my life?
- What were the nice books that I've read?
- What were the things that I've bought for myself?
- Who were the people who remembered me on my birthday?
- What promises to myself did I break?
- Who were the people that I hated or disliked most?
- Who were the people who went ahead to the great beyond?
- How many times was I invited as a sponsor (wedding, baptismal, inaugural, etc.)?
- How many times did I help the needy? Who were they? In what way?
- What were the occasions that I got angry or lost my patience?
- Who were the people that I've asked favors from?
- What were the mistakes I've committed?
- What were the lessons I've learned?
- Who were the people that I've given advice to?
- Who were the people who have helped ease my burden and made life bearable?
- What were the things that made me happy?
- What were the things that made me sad?
- What were the good/bad things that I have done to myself?
- What were the good/bad things that I have done to others?
