No favoritism

THE EAR - The Freeman

CALAMITY RELIEF. Millions of pesos (originally in foreign currencies) and tons of relief goods have come and are still coming from all over the world for the victims of calamities in the Philippines. A retired Filipino member of a UN charity group has come up with an unsolicited suggestion regarding the equitable distribution of the relief assistance.

NO FAVORITISM. The erstwhile Pinoy UN official told an Ear informer that the assistance, in cash and goods, must be apportioned carefully. "There must be no favoritism in the distribution of the assistance," he said. "It is still not too late to form a body to handle the donations," he said. "Not too late," he explained, "because donations will continue to come in."
