THE EAR - The Freeman

CREDIBLE.  Netizens and some Cebuanos expressed fears last Sunday about a possible killer earthquake of magnitude 8.0 that reportedly would hit Central Visayas. This after text messages started to circulate that day, which eventually made their way to the social media spheres. It was later confirmed that the report was bogus, and came not from credible sources.

ADVISORIES. Several news outfits then made several advisories for the public to only share, comment on and like post from reliable news sources. One Ear informer said, "Mao nang kinahanglan ta magmatngon pirmi. Di gyud ta pataka og tubay sa mga balita. Mubasa tang maminaw, apan sabton pud nato kung katuohan o dili ba ang balita."
