Heroes and villains

HEROES. The tragic ferry-cargo collision and consequent sinking of 2GO passenger vessel last Friday brought out the hero in some of the local residents of Talisay City, our Ear informer said. Fishermen living near the area were reported to be the first to have attended to the victims, bringing them ashore even before official rescuers arrived.

NOT ALL. But not all of the rescuers were heroes, the informer continued. “Naay uban imbes nga unahon og salbar ang kinabuhi sa mga biktima, miuna man hinuon og bukiki sa mga nanglutaw nga bag,” he said. “Kay basin kuno naa sila'y makit-an nga pwede pa mapuslan.”
