I once read an article in a Hong Kong newspaper about the South Koreans spending lots of money not only on beauty products but also and more so on having surgical facial uplift including noselifts, lips repairs, etc. In the same article, I read that the courts have asked the lawmakers to do something about the facial changes of some men especially those with legal cases.

OVERHEARD. A Cebu resident was heard telling a neighbor in Labangon that her sister's family in Manila had been relocated to Bulacan (or was it Cavite) for being squatters. She said: “Nangita siya moabang sa gipapuy-an nila nga housing unit kay mobalik sila sa Manila diin iyang bana kargador sa pantalan.” Said her neighbor: “Oy, di na mahimo...” Reply: “Ayaw la'g saba. Paabtikay ra man ning kinabuhia.”
