There was this story about an OFW whose car was bumped by a Saudi Arabian citizen's car even if it was properly parked along a Saudi highway. The Pinoy complained but was scolded by the police who said: “It's your fault, stupid. Your car couldn't have been bumped if you didn't come to Saudi.â€

Newly-elected Cebu Provincial Board Member Grecilda Sanchez-Zaballero, daughter of the late vice governor Greg Sanchez Jr., has been reported as saying she was willing to work with outgoing Gov. Gwen Garcia, political nemesis of her dad.

OVERHEARD. Vice Mayor-elect Edgar Labella called a meeting of all members of the City Council last Monday. But the BOPK councilors who form the majority of council told Labella to move the meeting to any day of their convenience (according to my source). Commented a senior business executive: “That's a sign of things to come. Ang BOPK councilors mao gihapon ang maghari sa Konseho.†Reply: “Mao kana ang mahitabo? Kaluoy ni Edgar.â€
