The Type-O slogan of the BOPK in the last election didn't work. I even heard a true-blue Osmenista joked: "Ang among Type-O nahimong Type-Ouch.!"

Hong Kong football fans booed the Phl Azkals for beating HK in their home turf. They called the Phl "Slave Country" apparently because of the many Pinay domestic helpers being treated like slaves in HK.

Nevertheless, James and Phil Younghusband, the Azkals' stars didn't mind. When interviewed, the brothers said: "We are proud to be Filipinos and we love our country."

Mayor Mike Rama has scheduled a meeting with the new Provincial Capitol officials after they shall have officially assumed office as duly elected officials. This is a welcome development. It signals the opening of a harmonious relationship between the City and Province which was nil for many years.

Everyone who knows the good that a City-Province ties can bring, is welcoming the mayor's desire to renew good relationship with the Capitol. Let's hope that the floodgates for greater Cebu will soon be open or reopen.

A businesswoman who is known in her neighborhood as a devout Born Again Christian, was heard telling someone in a shopping mall: "Kontra gyud nako ang politiko nga kusog manaway nga wa sa lugar." Reply: "Kinsa man panananglitan." Reply: "Di na lang ta mohingan og tawo...basta nalipay ko nga usa kanila maayong pagkamumo sa miaging eleksyon."
