The nanny is now a councilor

NANNY WINS. A 40-year-old nanny (“yaya”) and the mother of the child she continues to care for was proclaimed councilor in a municipality in Cotabato where her boss won as mayor. The nanny or “yaya” ran for councilor in the ticket of her boss on the request of the boss only to complete the lineup of her team.

CEBUANA. The nanny is Cebuana but has been living in Cotabato with her employer for some 10 years. Asked if she would be attending sessions at the town hall, the nanny said: “Of course, what am I councilor for?” This nanny is a college undergrad but speaks English well.
