Cellfone ringtone scares lola & child

THE EAR - The Freeman

RINGTONE. A two-year-old girl in a PUJ with her lola got hysterical and wanted to get off the jeepney when the cellfone of a passenger near her sounded. It was a loud ringtone, the sound of a house lizard (tuko). “It sounded real...Tuko, tuko, tuko,” said an Ear informer.

EVEN THE LOLA. Even the old lola, thinking there was a real “tuko” under someone's seat, prodded the PUJ conductor to shoo away the lizard. The other passengers tried to calm down the old woman and the little girl. It was the first time they both heard of a cellfone ringtone like that.
