Wife gets even

WIFE BEATER. “This may sound untrue but it's true,” said an informer who passed this little story on to The Ear. A husband, known as a wife beater, carried a cross (in last year's Holy Week) “to pay for his sins.” As he carried the cross along N. Bacalso Ave., he let a group of children beat him.
