Consecrate Phl to Mary’s Immaculate Heart
Today is the start of the Sinulog Week, which culminates with a very solemn procession on Saturday, Jan. 19 and the Sinulog Festival on Sunday Jan. 20. The Sinulog celebration in honor of the Sto. Niño de Cebu has been celebrated for centuries since we Cebuanos embraced our Catholic faith. Notice I clearly said “we Cebuanos,†as this motley archipelago that was later known as the Philippines was given independence by the Americans 67 years ago, only on July 4, 1946. This means our Catholic faith and culture have been there longer than our 67-year-old nation.
By now, my faithful readers already know that I’m a very conservative Catholic who defends our Catholic faith and culture whenever we feel there are threats to our way of life. It is for this reason why we fought vehemently against the Reproductive Health (RH) bill, which has since become a law when President Aquino signed it on Dec. 21, 2012. So let’s ask ourselves… who are those who threaten the Filipino way of life?
I can name them all, and the majority of them belong to the leftist above ground groups allied to the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP). But whenever people like ANAD Party-list Rep. Pastor Alcover harangues against the specter of communism, people like Party-list Rep. Teddy Casino, Secretary General of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan), immediately rebukes Rep. Alcover as referring to something already passé’.
Of course with communism disappearing in its homeland in Russia and most of Europe (but it is alive and well in China and in North Korea), communism too has started to diminish in the Philippines. But this is what the communists want you to think and believe. What is really happening is the communists (not just in this country) have found a way of thinking which is still very much anti-religion and it is called atheism.
In a book given to me last Saturday by Ms. Nieves Puyod of Davao City called “Fatima the Great Conspiracy,†allow me to quote the very first page on the Publisher’s Preface for the 1992 edition. It reads, “Pope John Paul II at Fatima on May 13, 1991 prophetically stated….â€There exists the danger that Marxism will be replaced by another form of Atheism.†He said this when the supposedly “invincible†Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was crumbling from its own lies and propaganda.
So there you are, if you’re trying to search for the communists here, they have gone deeply underground and resurfaced under the guise of atheism. The triumph of the Aquino regime in passing the RH bill into law is in a way a triumph of the atheists who want to impose their way of life in this country and destroy our centuries old Filipino tradition and culture. This should not be happening to our country, but sadly it is happening now.
My faithful readers also know me as a “Fatimist,†one who believes that the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary given to the three children in Cova de Ira, Fatima, Portugal was never heeded by the Catholic hierarchy. That message was to consecrate Russia into her Immaculate Heart and there would be world peace. Open your television sets to CNN, Al Jazeera or BBC and read the local TV news here and you will see a world in total chaos.
Doomsayers have already predicted that the stunning defeat of the Catholic Church with the passage of the RH bill would mean a terrible chastisement is in store for the Philippines. Our Lady of Lipa specifically mentioning the passage of a bill that would kill the innocent children prophesied this. So I fired off a text to Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) president and Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma that perhaps the time has come for the Philippines to be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Arch. Palma replied that they would consider this.
Mind you, this has historical implications in Portugal where Mama Mary appeared in 1917. In May 13, 1931, 14 years after the Fatima apparitions, Cardinal Cerejeira the Patriarch of Lisbon consecrated Portugal to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Portugal was granted a Threefold Miracle†by the Blessed Virgin Mary, something that we direly need in our country today.
After the consecration, Portugal experienced a magnificent “Catholic Renaissance and a rebirth of the Catholic faith. This is why I have suggested this consecration, as it is quite timely in this Year of Faith. Secondly, Portugal experienced a dramatic political and social reform, something that has yet to happen in this country because our People’s Power Revolt in EDSA was hijacked by a political oligarchy that breeds on the people’s tax money.
Finally, Portugal experienced an unprecedented peace. It was preserved from the evils of communism and spared from the Spanish Civil War next door. Above all, it was the only country in Europe that was spared from the ravages and horrors of World War II. Of course the atheists in the government will try to stop our Bishops… but they must do this consecration.
