Helpful ex-convict

DISABLED. A physically disabled woman dependent on her pair of crutches had been waiting for passenger jeepney for two hours (according to her) but no jeepney would stop by her to give her a ride. Until a man came along and helped her get a jeep to ride in. The driver tried to bypass her but the man shouted at the driver to give the woman a ride or else.

THREAT. The man helped the disabled woman mount the jeepney. It took sometime for her to get settled on her seat but the driver patiently waited. “Wa moreklamo ang drayber,” an Ear informer said. “In fact, mora’g na-threatened siya sa katigas sa lalake nga nitabang sa babaye.” The driver later said: “Kaila ko atong tawhana, ex-convict to. Kuyaw to.”
