New peso bill questioned

THE NEW BANKNOTES. An Ear reader says he “disapproves” the designs or artworks printed on some new paper bills issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. “The artworks, especially that of the P20 bill, are unclear,” he said, adding: “Hugaw kaayo tan-awon ang bayntihon pisos.”

BANAUE RICE TERRACES. The same reader says the picture on the backside of the P20 bill is that of the Banaue Rice Terraces but “it doesn’t look like it.” He adds that the printing is smudgy making the paper bill look dirty.
