Over speeding of passenger buses is back in the highways of the first district. This according to Quir L. de Gracia, Banat News correspondent in the City of Naga. Quir says many passengers, especially the senior citizens, are complaining — appealing — to the drivers to slow down.

“The drivers don’t only ignore the passengers’ plea,” Quir says. “They berate them and even order them to get down and look for another bus.” Once, one bus actually stopped and the driver told the complaining passengers to disembark, according to Quir.

Quir to whom some of the aggrieved passengers aired their complaint, advised them to bring their gripe to the proper agencies like the LTO or the LTFRB. Some of them did, said Quir, but the abusive and arrogant bus drivers to rule the highways.

A 15-year-old girl wrote a newspaper columnist seeking help. She has a problem: She has several textmates, all boys and all of them — five of them — are her boyfriends.
