Reduce the politicians' pork barrel to help schoolkids?

PORK BARREL. A schoolteacher from a very poor mountain barangay in South Cebu where many of the schoolchildren go to school almost naked and without pencil and pad paper, asked The Ear: “Mahimo bang pagamay-gamayan ang pork barrel sa mga senador ug kongresista?” 

FOR THE KIDS. The schoolteacher said the “cut” from the pork barrel, if ever this would come to pass, should be spent for the education of the poor schoolchildren in “God-forsaken” mountain barrios. “Dagko ra kaayo nang pork barrel nila oy,” the teacher said. “Makagaba kon atong hunahunaon ang mga bata nga naninguha pagtuon bisan naghubo ug wa’y sud ang tiyan.”
