Here come the floods!

BAHA. Many areas in the city experienced flooding because of the heavy rains the past few days. “Nagsige na lang ta og sawm ani sa baha,” said an Ear informer who was stuck in a flooded area in Colon Street. “Dali ra gyud kaayo mapundo ang tubig. Bisan og mao pa gani pagbundak sa uwan, mosaka na dayon ang tubig diring dapita,” he added.

DRAINAGE. The informer said he thinks the flooding problem is no longer just a result of the non-cleaning of canals in the area. “Gagmay na kaayo ang mga existing canals kung ikumpara sa population. Mao ning bisan pa og gipalimpyohan na ang mga canal ug estero pag summer, gibaha lang gihapon ta,” he said.
