PNoy doesn't eve know what his job is

SHOOTING STRAIGHT - Bobit S. Avila -

The banner headlines of The Philippine Star read, “P-Noy rating down in last 3 months—SWS. This proves what we’ve been saying all along that we’ve always believed that SWS and Pulse Asia, whose owners are related to PNoy, are definitely part of the propaganda machinery that is propping up the sagging image of this President. When the latest Pulse Asia survey appeared the other week, Malacañang Palace sycophants immediately responded to that survey saying:

“The latest Ulat ng Bayan Pulse Asia survey shows 70% of Filipinos continue to trust the President and 69% appreciate his work and initiative. After almost two years in office, we view his measure of public opinion as an indication of support for the President’s fight against corruption and poverty. As we have always maintained, public office is a public trust. There is no greater proof that the public is feeling the effects of our reforms than the President’s sustained trust and satisfaction ratings. We take these results as reinforcements to push for economic and institutional reforms to achieve inclusive, equitable growth… March 22,2012” That communiqué’ might as well be signed by Joseph Geobbels!

I was watching the ABS-CBN news last Monday evening and one of its main reports was headlined, “Aquino at Work!” What was our President doing? He was inspecting the Port of Manila and the NAIA to look into the concerns of the traveling public. Come now, is this the standard that PNoy set for himself as working? If you ask me, this only proves that the President (or at least his propagandists) doesn’t even know what his duties are. Inspecting the airports and seaports is not part and parcel of the President’s work load, after all that’s what his DOTC Secretary ought to be doing, unless Sec. Mar Roxas is not doing his job.

The President’s main job is to rally Congress, which we all know is firmly under his control to get those 40 or so “Energy” bills to be passed in order to help alleviate the misery of our people who are paying extremely high fuel and oil bills, not to mention high electricity bills? If Congress failed to even discuss those 40 Energy bills sleeping in the House, then the President has failed in his job to rally his men to stem the tide of high prices.

Rather than be threatened by a failing popularity rate, the Palace sycophants are contended with issuing their counter propaganda claims that the President’s popularity is still up there… even if it has dropped from very good to good. But if you ask me, since SWS and Pulse Asia is not telling the Filipino public how they devised those questionnaires, which resulted in a still high rating for the President despite the misery permeating around our people. Then those surveys are totally meaningless.

All the more when the Palace issues statements like “There is no greater proof that the public is feeling the effects of our reforms than the President’s sustained trust and satisfaction ratings.” Again I’d like to ask these Malacañang Rasputins what kind of reforms are they talking about? In my book there have been no such massive reforms under the Aquino Regime.

If there is anything new under the Aquino Regime, it is the reality that the New People’s Army (NPA) has gained strength and is now openly attacking military camps. The latest report on this was buried deep in The Philippine Star yesterday which reported a frontal attack by the NPAs against the 4th Infantry Division (ID) Headquarters in Barangay Sampaguita in Kibawe, Bukidnon.

If you read that story well, you will notice that the fighting was already on-going for three hours, until the military was forced to call for aerial bombardment from an SF-260 Attack plane from the Philippine Air Force, which fired some 15 rockets. While all this was going on, another NPA attack was happening in Barangay Anomar, Surigao City where the NPAs engaged the Army’s 75th IB. If you ask me, the NPA attacks are well coordinated and simultaneously done, which only proves what we’ve already written before… that under the Aquino Regime, the NPAs have gained not only strength, but a new found motivation to attack our Armed Forces.

This could only be the result of what we wrote last January, that a foreign vessel was seen unloading crates of what we believe are suspected high-powered firearms into NPA controlled areas in Surigao. What strikes me as odd is that, no one from the Office of the President, especially from the Office of Political Affairs Ronald Llamas, is denouncing these NPA attacks?

Of course Llamas is silent about these NPA attacks because he is supporting their cause. If you ask me, Ronald Llamas has overextended his stay in Malacañang. If he is for the NPA, then he must quit as PNoy’s political adviser simply because he is against our established form of governance.
