How to slow down aging

HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   -

I just read this article “Hugging For Your Heart.” It says here that hugging slows down aging. Why say that only now? Tsk-tsk.

* * *

Sir Eddiegul and me are of the same age but he looks much younger than me. He must have done a lot of hugging. Hehehe.

Someone sent me some jokes about beauty contests and beauty contestants. The jokes convinced me it’s more fun in the Philippines.

* * *

The pageant host asked one contestant: “What, in your opinion, is the ideal age for marriage?” The beauty contest replied: “Between 24 and 25!”

* * *

Pageant host: “Who is your favorite author?” The beauty replied: “Danielle Steele.” Host: “Why Danielle Steele?” The beauty said: “Because ... because Danielle Steele I like her best. Thank you.”

* * *

Pageant host: “So tell me why did you join this contest?” Contestant: “Me? Join this contest? Why did I ... that’s all. Thank you.”

* * *

Levity aside, I join the nation in watching the TV coverage of the CJ Corona impeachment trial and there was one instance when Senator-Judge-Actor Bong Revilla took the floor and called for a faster litigation. He said if the trial continued to move like it’s been moving since it started, it would take one whole year for them senator-judges to finish their work. Bong Revilla’s appeal did not see print in the papers. Because it did not sound like a joke?

E-mail trivia: Reader Margret Asuncion wants to know: “Official receipt printouts are okay. But some receipts say: This is an official sales invoice. Does this qualify as an official receipt? I ask because I’m joining the BIR’s raffle promo.”
