Woman cried for her burning umbrella

- The Ear -

UMBRELLA UP IN SMOKE. A woman was seen crying as she watched the Gaisano Capital South Mall going up in smoke. Someone asked her why she was in tears. “Paryente ka sa mga Gaisano?” She said no. She said she left her umbrella in the mall the day before. “Nasunog na gyud to,” she said. “Birthday gift ra ba to sa akong uyab nga tua sa Saudi.”

REPLACEMENT. Told by a kibitzer to replace the umbrella with a new one when the burning mall reopens, the woman said: “Mahal para nako kadtong gipada sa akong uyab. Nahikap na gud to niya.” She was irked when those who heard her laughed.
