"Fake fire victim" soliciting Christmas gifts

- The Ear -

FIRE VICTIM SHE?

A woman sporting a t-shirt and very short and tight maong shorts (called by sidewalk observers as “pakigol”) was seen going from gate to gate in a residential village asking for Christmas gifts, saying she was a fire victim. An Ear informer said one homeowner tried to give her some good used garments (seeing maybe that she was scantily dressed) but she turned them down. “Money lang Ma’am,” she begged. “Layo pang sweldo, Day, canned food na lang,” the homeowner said. “Money na lang Ma’am,” she insisted. She left the gate with nothing.

GAMBLER. It was learned from a reliable source that the woman (wearing “pakigol” shorts despite her being in her 40s) was not a fire victim. She was from the other side of the city where neighbors knew her as a mahjong addict. “Hapit gyud nasud sa bulsa akong asawa,” the husband said.
