Looking back at where he came from

- The Ear -

PLOWING THE FIELD. The President and CEO of a business corporation kind of shocked his fellow business executives when he celebrated his 50th year as a “successful businessman” in the middle of a rice field. His guests saw him plowing the rice field with one of his farm’s carabaos. “Dugay nakatingog ang iyang mga dekorbata nga mga bisita,” The Ear informer said.

LOOKING BACK. The business exec explained to his guests that it was his way of looking back at where he came from. He told The Ear informer: “Pobre kaayo mi sa gamay pa ko. Diyes anyos pa ko motabang nako’g daro sa among gamayng pilapilan.” He said the carabao and the plow sent him to school. He was dripping with sweat when he got off the ricefield to entertain his guests.
