Gadhafi and Saddam should've listened to Ninoy
Libya’s Gadhafi is dead. All the while he thought he was too strong a man to end up in a gutter.
***
Had he listened to Ninoy, who warned that no strongman could remain strong forever, Gadhafi might still be around continuing to live an eccentric life.
***
Gadhafi lost his power in the same manner Saddam Hussein lost his. Gadhafi was found hiding in a gutter, Saddam hid in a rat hole.
***
There are a few other dictators who got spared from the horrible fates suffered by Gadhafi and Saddam. Some even want to be declared heroes by the people they subjugated.

Football has become popular again in PHL. Thanks to the Azkals who, even if still struggling to find a good place in the sun, has already became the toast of the girls.
***
PNoy doesn’t want to retaliate against the MILF who killed 19 government troops. “Let’s investigate first,” he was quoted as saying. Investigate. PNoy thinks he is still a member of the Senate.
***
While the investigation of the MILF ambush is still going on – if it has ever been started at all here comes another news: The MILF killed eight more government troops in their turf because they’re being left alone. No resistance. The score now is 27-0.

E-mail from Lenard Kaparis of Siquijor but working in Cebu: “At the rate the Muslim rebels belonging to the MILF are insulting the government, is it still OK for PNoy and the so-called peace panel to proceed with the peace process? Tell you what, Mr. Jabat, my Korean co-workers are not only laughing at us, they’re adding insult to their laughter.”

Question from Mrs. Norma Seldran of Mabini St., Cebu City (who calls her family “silingan” or neighbor of TF): “The management of the memorial park, where five deceased members of our family are buried, has not fulfilled its promise on the document we signed ... They said that the memorial park is a perpetual care cemetery, meaning the cleaning and/or upkeep of the burial ground is their responsibility but the cemetery is dirty and the grasses are not trimmed.”
***
She invited me to visit with her the other memorial parks where, according to her, the grounds are clean and the lawn is regularly mowed.
***
I agree with Mrs. Seldran. Truth is, long before I got her complaint, my family has already decided to transfer the remains of our parents to another memorial park.
