They called him "tihik," now he's got a motorbike

WISE SPENDER. Ramon (not his real name) and his three siblings receive a weekly cash allowance of P1,000 each from their parents who are in the business who buying and selling poultry products, mainly chicken eggs. Ramon, who is teased by his siblings (two girls) as “tihik” or thrifty, was recently able to buy a motorcycle out of his savings from his allowance.

TV GUEST. Ramon told an Ear informer he got the idea of how to save money from television show guest who gave tips to televiewers on how to save out of the small earnings one gets everyday. “Simpli kaayong tips, sayon ra follow-hon,” Ramon said. “Akong gi-follow bisan gingalan kong tihik sa mga sisters ko hehehe.” And he was able to save “little by little.” He said it took sometime to save the amount needed to buy a motorcycle but he made it.
