A sight called unsightly

YOUNG AND OLD. An old, tall male Caucasian and a short young Pinay drew some attention from sidewalk hanger-outs on Junquera St. last Saturday afternoon. Aware that she was being made the object of fun, the short Pinay, tugging at the waist of the lanky Caucasian, faced the “tsismosos” and said: “Hoy mga tsismoso, ibog mo no?”

ORDINANCE. Some years ago, a councilor in a Metro Manila city tried to pass an ordinance discouraging Pinays from tugging at foreigners making them the object of ridicule by some people. The proposed ordinance did not pass. It was called “an afront” to the dignity of our women.
