Barefoot couple stopped at eatery's door

SHOELESS TWO. A barefooted but well dressed couple (husband and wife) tried to enter a restaurant in uptown Cebu. They were stopped at the door and questioned about their being shoeless. Politely they said they belonged to a “charitable socio-religious” association. If they could not be in, they would look for another place. “Gutom na gutom na, eh,” they said. But they were allowed in.

NOT ORDINARY. The Ear informer learned both husband and wife were not ordinary persons. They held masteral degrees from UP Diliman. They declined politely to explain or describe their organization beyond. saying: “We are not enemies of the State.. P-Noy is our boy.” As they were leaving the couple told the security guard: “We had a remarkable dinner. Thank you.”
