Beautifying Cebu is a step in the right direction

BEAUTIFUL CEBU. A member of a civic club said in a letter to The Ear: “It’s good to know that some prominent society women are joining hands in a project whose aim is to come up with a Beautiful Cebu ... They have to hurry up because we (Cebu) are lagging behind in the beautification and tourism effort.”

OTHER PLACES. The civic club member said many other places are now attracting more tourists than Cebu “because we have nothing new to show to them.” Among these other places are Camarines Sur and Batangas. He said the Cross of Magellan, Fort San Pedro, the Basilica and even the Taoist Temple are old stuffs. “The least we can do now is to beautify Cebu ... It may strike the tourists as something new.”
