Contaminated lakes and rivers

CONTAMINATED. A popular lake in Danao, Ormoc City, has been declared “not safe to swim in” because of fecal contamination. Human and animal wastes have contaminated the lake, known as the “crown jewel” of the city’s tourism program. Many of the houses around the lake have no toilets.

He (informer) could only answer: “I have no idea.” Maybe there is a need to also check our lakes and rivers (where many people swim or bathe for fun) for fecal contamination like they did in Ormoc.
