Have you tried paying tax with a smile?

HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   -

P-Noy says we must pay our taxes with a smile. Here we go again. I mean here’s that advice again. Has P-Noy tried paying his tax with a smile, not with cash?

News that there’s gonna be a wage increase kind of perked up a warehouse man I know. “Now,” he says. “I can pay last year’s income tax.”

From a text message: “Always check the quality of your friends.” I don’t quite get what the texter means. But I want to feel assured that I got good quality friends. They talk good things behind my back. At least, I think so. Hehe.

I would like to interrupt this column to acknowledge and pass on to you this sad news: Vice Gov. Greg Sanchez has passed away. A victim of lung cancer. God bless his soul. My condolences to his bereaved family. (You must have already read the details by the time this column is out.)

Here’s a beautiful message texted to me by Tite Salie. I want to share this with you: “I asked God, how do I get the best out of life?” God answered: “Face the past without regret, handle your present with confidence, prepare for the future without fear.” Then He added, “Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don’t believe your doubts and never doubt your beliefs! Life is wonderful if you know how to live. Just trust Him. God knows ... God sees ... God bless you.”
