WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT? A reader who is known to be a member of a religious women’s group said in an e-mail to this paper’s publisher: “There is more excitement in the TV networks about the coming Royal Wedding in London than the Beatification in Rome. As far as Pinoys are concerned, which is more important?”

QUERY ANSWERED. The query posed by the reader (above) answered by the questioner herself: “The Beatification is more important because it’s about the future saint who had been in our country and our city (Cebu) in these modern times.” She said the other saints — “or most of them anyway” — we learned about only from the prayer books.
