Foreign tourists on bank notice

PAALAALA. A bank near Plaza Independencia had this sign that said : “Paalaala.” Two foreign tourists saw the sign. One commented to the other: “‘Palala’! Just like ‘Olala’!”

ILLEGAL U-TURN. An Ear informer saw a BEST vehicle sped along Osmeña Blvd. with four tanods onboard. As they neared the intersection of Osmeña Blvd. and P. del Rosario, one tanod waved his stick in the air to shoo away the pedestrians who were crossing the streets at the red light. The vehicle then made a U-turn right under the traffic light and sped towards Colon St. The vehicle didn’t have their hazard lights on and no blinkers or sirens. The informer said, “Pwede ba ni sila mo-illegal U-turn?”
