Planned human crucifixion blocked

- The Ear -

CRUCIFIXION BLOCKED. A plan to introduce in Australia the human crucifixion that draws many people to a place in Luzon during the observance of Good Friday won’t push through. “It was affectively blocked by a religious group,” an Ear source said. The said plan had been in the works since middle of last year, The Ear source said

ENTERTAINMENT. One of the reasons for the blocking of the project was its billing in flyers and posters as a “Holy Week Entertainment.” One observer, a Fil-Aussie, said: “Crazy! You call Jesus Christ’s passion and death an entertainment?” Had the project pushed through the “stars of the show” would have been those “veteran” so-called “penitents” who had themselves nailed to the cross many times during the observance of Good Friday in Luzon, The Ear learned.
