OFWs never without religious images

- The Ear -

STO. NIÑO IN JAPAN. The Pinay wife of a Japanese engineer was seen always carrying in her arms an image of the Sto. Niño in the evacuation center in Tokyo. The Pinay, a devotee of the Sto. Niño, is not a Cebuana but Bicolana. A neighbor of hers told an Ear informer that during the height of the crisis in Sendai she was seen tying the image of the Senyor on her waist.

ALWAYS PINOY.  A returning OFW from Libya told a Cebuano personnel at the NAIA that “Pinoys will always be Pinoys.” He said many of the OFWs in Libya and Egypt kept small images of their favorite saints in their pockets.
